Research On Several Coordination Problems Of Hotel Design Management

Hotel design in modern significance has already developed into a comprehensive system project, while application of advanced technology greatly increases the technical content and complexity level of hotel design. Integrity and complexity of modern hotel design require for promoting hotel design management into a new high, which is a must for us. In order to better accomplish this complicated systematic project of hotel design, it is necessary to analyze and research existing design managerial experience, as well as summarize a set of coordinated methods that conform to practical hotel design management.The paper firstly elaborated the concept of hotel design management and its main job content. Then the paper proceeded with researching each professional unit that participates in hotel design and construct and drew a conclusion that key and core of hotel design management lie in coordinated management by analyzing their respective scope of business,work pattern and operating feature, as well as their roles and functions in hotel design process.The paper pointed out that coordination and communication between professional units are not smooth in domestic hotel design management process, which lead to continuous occurrence of contradiction and conflict in design. In such case, problem should be solved mainly in coordinated management. In addition, the paper proposed that coordinated management should comply with principles of global, rationality, economical efficiency, foreseeability and specialty. Moreover, problems should be coordinated and solved by cultivating coordinate consciousness, improving coordinate ability, establishing effective coordination mechanism, etc. methods. Combining with practical cases, the paper finally explained critical problems desired to coordinate and concern in hotel design management process, put forward my own opinions and analysis on coordination mechanism in hotel design management, and provided references for designers and managers who will involve in hotel design in the future.
