Construction Of Cultural Greenway Based On The Reuse Of Minnan Tulou

Fujian Tulou is a precious heritage of human civilization, and two thirds of them belongs to Hakka Culture, while the rest belongs to Taiwanese culture, called Minnan Tulou. In 2008, 46 Tulou was selected into the World Heritage List, becoming World-Heritage Tulou, while there are still many Minnan Tulou going begging, which mainly distribute in Pinghe County. In the light of its great value, its conservation and reuse are worthy of further exploration and problems which was pretty much the agenda; Besides, Cultural Greenway,which has been proved to be an effective method to solve the reusing of non-World-Heritage historical cultural relics and remains by many Western Countries, was introduced into China in the early 21 st century and has been paid plenty of attention to. Thus, the article aims to use Cultural Greenway as an excellent resolution to the reusing of Minnan Tulou.Firstly, through analysing the relevant literature, the thesis pointed out that the Cultual Greenway is actually a kind of Heritage Area. Though researching the practical cases the thesis has found out the procedure and method to construct it. And then, both superiority and inferiority of Tulou and its surroundings has been pointed out. Then, on the basis of previous conclusion the necessity and practicability of building the Cultural Greenway based on reuse of Tulou has been expounded and proved. As a result, the strategy of Cultural Greenway based on the reuse of Minnan Tulou got proposed. Next, AHP is adopted to analyse the value composition and its appropriate weight and to build an authentic value evaluation system for Pinghe Tulou. Afterwards, the frame, which contains overall structure, fundamental skeleton, linear element and punctate elements has been achieved based on the realities of Minnan Tulou. And finally, taking Jiufeng Town as demonstration object, the frame has got practical application, leading the present of design guidelines of the reuse of Pinghe Tulou.Through previous study, the paper expects to finish building the frame of Cultural Greenway based on the reuse of Minnan Tulou, fill the gap of research in non-World–Heritage-Tulou, perfect the study for Fujian Tulou and its reuse. Moreover, the thesis also place high hopes on being used as reference for the reuse of other non-World-Heritage historical and cultural resources, and providing an important way of protecting and developing the national historical and cultural town of Jiufeng and its resources.
