A Study Of Industrial Heritage Reuse Under Culture LED

Under the background of economic globalization, most cities began to face problems of urban development and transformation. Due to the needs of adjustment of industrial structure and urban industrial layout, a large amount of industrial area emigrated out of the city, which caused the decline of the industrial area and its physical environment of the surrounding neighborhoods. Most of idle industrial areas was becoming the primary target of urban redevelopment, resulting in the severe damage of plenty of industrial buildings and traditional industrial sites, thus the protection and reuse of industrial heritage are confronted with a serious situation. The late start of research about industrial heritage reuse in this country gave rise to the reference of western experience in the practice of industrial heritage reuse, which lead to a incomplete system of industrial heritage reuse. This paper proposed principles of industrial heritage reuse through culture led based on the analysis of real problems in domestic industrial heritage reuse and conducted the strategy research of it in example of Tangzha Historical Industrial Town.This paper contains 5 chapters. The first chapter introduces the background, purpose and significance, research methods and content of this study and defined related concepts. The second chapter gives a complete introduction of relative research on foreign industrial heritage reuse, urban renovation through culture led and industrial heritage reuse through culture led. The third chapter brings about the realistic problems now in domestic industrial heritage reuse based on the trend of foreign ones and discourses the basis and advantage of culture led in domestic industrial heritage reuse, proposing the reuse principle of domestic industrial heritage reuse through culture led. The fourth chapter explores the situation and problems of Tangzha historical industrial town and analyzes the basis of Tangzha industrial heritage reuse through culture led based in the basic research of Tangzha historical industrial town, building the reuse system of industrial heritage and further more proposing the specific reuse strategy. The last chapter is the conclusion of emphasis and inadequate in this study and forecasted the future prospects of this study.
