In recent years, the highway in Yunnan Province achieved leapfrog development. Even though it obtained some certain achievements, there still existing some weaker areas at the same time. On the premise of full investigation of the structure type of highways’ asphalt pavement, disease of asphalt pavement as well as the extent of the defects in Yunnan Province, the paper analyzes the collected disease data and studies the reason of the occurrence of diseases of Yunnan’s highway. The paper also analyzes the damage and influence of the construction process of asphalt pavement in terms of the raw materials, the choice of mechanical equipment, the condition of equipment combination, construction technology and so on. Thus the paper provides the evidence to the standardization of construction of highway’s asphalt pavement in Yunnan Province.Firstly, the paper analyzes the asphalt pavement construction using aggregate production technology.On the basis of the full investigation of the choice of equipment at a quarry and the effects of practical production of three highways under construction in Yunnan, the paper conducts a comparative analysis for various aggregate processing equipment to choose the best production technique for different rock properties; in accordance with the actual conditions, the paper also raises the key control point of aggregate processing.Secondly, the paper investigates the construction machinery equipment for asphalt mixture. According to the uses for different types of equipment and current status and trend of development of equipment, the different standardized system of construction equipment are given to ensure the quality of construction processes of asphalt mixture. Besides, to reduce the temperature difference during the transporting of asphalt mixture, the paper compares theinsulation effect of different modes of transportation through the experiment.The paper, looking at the latest asphalt mixture paver, conducts comparative analysis between the pavement by whole width with a single machine andthe construction by echelons operation with multi-machines. Itchooses the optimal pavement techniques to be widely used at the premise of quality assurance. Based on the extensive study of the combination scheme of similar roll compacted concrete projects,it makes the relatively reasonable preliminary compaction plan through the analysis of the variability of compactness and chooses the appropriate compaction combination methods for the middle layers by observing the practical effect on the test roads.Thirdly, based on the common information technology, the paper studies the quality control technologies in the construction process. It also introduces the relatively steady Remote Control System on the basis of extensive research and sample applications and makes it as the part of construction standard of asphalt pavement.Lastly, relying on the standardized demonstration and applications in the construction of Mazhao highway, the paper designs a complete construction technology from the aggregate production technology, the rational choice of equipment and equipment combinations and other aspects. This design is significant to improve the pavement quality, reduce the early-time damage of asphalt pavement and prolong the service life of pavement. Meanwhile, the paper’s research content has profound meaning of enriching the standardization of asphalt pavement technology in Yunnan Province.
