Recently in China, because of the economic development and the expansion of construction scale, many enterprise start to pay more attention to project group management. As a high risk business, construction project is always with large scale and involves a large number of staff, making the safety problem extremely important. Thus, when accident occurs, natural environment, economy and society will all be seriously impacted. Potential construction hazard is the primary cause of construction accident. However, research on the construction hazard in project group is pretty rare at home or abroad. Therefore, based on the project group of a residential area in Tongchuan city, research on the hazard management of project group is carried out in this paper.Firstly, similarities and differences of the hazard management in single project and project group are analyzed. A matrix organizational structure of the hazard identification of project group and a database of the construction hazard were established. Then, on the basis of project life cycle theory and PDCA cycle theory, procedure of the hazard identification of project group was summarized. Moreover, a flow chart of hazard identification before, during and after construction was drawn.Then, construction hazards that exist in the process of project group were evaluated in both longitudinal and crosswise point of view. In longitudinal evaluation, a Fuzzy Markov model based on reliability analysis was established in the light of Markov theory, fuzzy math theory and reliability analysis theory. In crosswise evaluation, a correlation evaluation index system of the construction hazards between projects of a project group was established. And a correlation evaluation model based on entropy of information theory and D-S evidence theory was established. Finally, organization structure of the control of the construction hazard of project group was built. Hazard control modes were classified from different angles, and control methods were summarized. Moreover, construction hazards were classified according to theirs danger degrees, and classification control of the construction hazards was elaborated.The findings indicate that, applying the hazard management system to the project group construction process will effectively solve problems that exist in the hazard management of the project group, reduce security accident and achieve good economic and social benefits. The research results of this paper can provide reference for the hazard management of similar projects.
