Research On The Landscaping Design Of Therapeutic Garden

In the wake of the development of medical technology and the transit of the health concept of the public, Landscape environment that are beneficial to physical and mental health are urgently needed in medical institutions. As a medical used landscape type,many progress of the design theory and method of therapeutic garden have been made in western developed countries, which is instructive to the landscaping design of medical institutions in China.In this paper, by integrating theoretical methods of modern science and the practice of the landscaping design of the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital of the People’s Hospital of Lin Yi City, a healthy therapeutic environment was constructed.This paper is divided into the following four sections:(1) Location, physical geography, historical culture and the own condition of the North District Hospital of the People’s Hospital of Lin Yi City were briefly introduced.General situation of the landscaping design of the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital of the People’s Hospital of Lin Yi City was presented. The general design orientation and theme were acknowledged.(2)Conception and characteristics of therapeutic garden was elaborated through literature research. Also, relevant landscaping design theory and method of therapeutic garden were concluded, providing theoretical basis for the landscaping design of the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital.An investigation of the demand characteristics of the three main user(i.e.patient, family members of patients and medical personnel) of the central department,south medical district, north medical district and east medical district was carried out through questionnaire and interview, providing significant reference for the landscaping design of the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital.(3)Aiming at the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital of the People’s Hospital of Lin Yi City, detailed design of site selection, design concept and goal determination as well as Central Lake Scenic Area, communication Square area, Pastoral area, Sunshine lawn area, the landscape Victory Hill, Private meditation area was carried out. Finally, landscaping design of the therapeutic garden was accomplished by combining the theoretical basis and concrete practice.(4)The theory-practice strategy of the landscaping design of the therapeutic garden of North District Hospital of the People’s Hospital of Lin Yi City was summarized, offering design thought to similar project.
