Urban Landscape Type And Evolution In The Heritage Settings Of Qujiang District In Xi’an Since 1990

Urban Landscape has the function of “Brand space” as an important feature to ecognize a city. Xi’an, the old captical of China maintain a lot of heritages in its owntown. Therefore, the urban landscape in heritage setting is a important identification.This paper firstly analyzes urban landscape in a heritage setting in three basic aspects consisting of the composition of functional public space, human activity and visual analysis. Except above site condition analysis, human emotiaonal analysis is also performed with help of individual interview and questionnaire. A new diagnostic analysis is proposed with focus of human perception to urban landscape in heritage setting. This new diagnostic analysis gives a better understanding of the interaction between heritage setting and urban landscape, and then provides a reference to the construction of urban open space.Xi’an, the ancient capital of the world civilization with a long history and which is rich in ancient architectural monuments and a variety of natural and geographical environment, the evolution of the urban landscape in terms of both the upper type has a certain representation. At the same time, different social significance of these historical circumstances led to the construction of different ways around the city landscape space,thereby affecting the overall landscape of different style of Xi’an City.By selecting Xi’an urban landscape as the research object, the historical environment surrounding urban landscape change in the transverse situation, in the longitudinal direction Qujiang selected area, recording the changes historical monuments, ruins and other historical space generated since the 1990 s, and make a lawsummarized, explore how historical perception of the environmental impact of urban landscape, urban landscape and the history of how the integration of the environment,culture contrast, provide a theoretical basis for the future of the historic environment in shaping the urban landscape space.
