The interation and cooperation between superstructure and groundsill foundation is one of the most important research topic in architectural engineering. Although there was much progress, the interaction theory of superstructure foundation and soil is still a new subject, as a structure design technique, the interaction theory as well as practical engineering experiences are still in primary stage.The routine method for high-rise building structure often considers the bottoms of columns as fixed, regardless of interaction between superstructure foundation and soil, thus the calculated internal forces and deflections often have evident discrepancy form practical values, which causes the unsafe or uneconomical structure design. Through analysis and research, summarizes the research results both at home and abroad, the foundation and the upper frame structure, according to the principle of interaction, the foundation,foundation and upper structure as a whole, the building of upper structure and foundation is part of the problem, the whole structure and foundation system were three-dimensional numerical analysis.Horizontal action(earthquake, wind) and Vertical action are often the controlling load for high-rise buildings. So the research on interaction of superstructure and foundation subsoil under vertical and horizontal functions is useful. In this paper, the stress and deformation of the whole structure under the combined action of horizontal load and vertical load are studied.This article based on the Weihai Haiyuan District building 18#,and its results show the horizontal load, member size of superstructure and rigidity of raft foundation, material property of subsoil and contact elements have influences on interaction. The three components’ interaction influence and internal relation are revealed by conventional calculation method and common action analysis method, varying regulation of superstructure and foundation’s internal force and stress, as well as subsoil’s plane and spatial distribution rules.The research of this paper will supply a basis for improving the safety and economy of structure design of high-rise buildings.
