Brakes are used to slow down or to stop machinery equipments, and guarantee vehicle, crawling machines and many important fixtures work safely, brake friction lining failure will reduce the braking effect, even cause accidents, most of current research on the brakes is concentrated on the noise and thermal- mechanical coupling, but for the friction lining, the main failure mode is fatigue. According to the QC/T 316-1999 "car service brake test methods of fatigue strength"and JASO C 441-77 "commonly used test methods of the fatigue strength of the brake device", the paper carried out a series of work.Firstly, go on structure design for the brake friction lining fatigue test machine, using duplex symmetrical structure to save costs and time, then select the purchased parts of the transmission in accordance with the relevant requirements, in the case of the non-standard components, we verify them through mathematical calculation; Secondly, in order to achieve fully automated control test rig, considering from two aspects to proceed, both in dynamic loading and braking force loading. The braking force is loaded using the proportional flow control valve to control pneumatic cylinder to achieve, the paper has designed the pneumatic brake system detailly, and the PID controller to control entire brake circuit, and finally through the genetic algorithm to optimize the controller parameters, providing theoretical guidance for future development of test-bed; dynamic is loaded through three-phase AC induction motor to achieve, this paper analyzes the principle of the motor speed control, and design a motor control system based on direct torque control, what is more, go on simulink modeling and simulation, through the analysis of the results to verify the feasibility nature and the sensitivity of motor torque to the load, which is the preparatory work for the development of test bed. Finally, Go on finite element analysis through ANSYS Workbench for key components of drum brake lining fatigue test bed, to verify the reliability of the bed, providing a theoretical basis for further optimization and the actual development.
