Preliminary Research On Evaluation Index System For Living Environment Of Elderlyapartment In Taiyuan City

With the development of modern Chinese economy society, China is now entering an aging society gradually, which doesn’t improve the living environment of the elderly correspondingly. However, under the current circumstances, this issue has become an urgent one. With the growth of age, the focus of life of the elderly is transferred from work to family. Then the section of “living” has become the majority of living space among the elderly.Consequently, creating a positive living environment for the elderly to make them have something to rely on, is an urgent problem that needs solving by architects in China. An important prerequisite of improving the living environment of the elderly is to establish a scientific and effective evaluation index system.It is pointed out that, our country should establish the socialized old-age service system with the basics of the families, communities, and the institutional supports, government leading, social participation as well as national cares according to the 12 th five-year plan of Chinese old-age service system. In recent years, the gradual rise of pension model that is also called the model of apartment pension is still in a development stage in China. Most of the elderly are not so satisfied with their residential buildings in-service. According to the comprehensive evaluation of the living environment of the senior apartment, thewriter hopes that the passage can be a basis for perfecting and improving the quality of the senior apartments, and plays a guiding role in newly-built senior apartments in the future. Through the understanding of the usage after the completion of the project, and the satisfaction, physical conditions as well as psychological needs of the old, timely information feedback is of help to make a more comprehensive consideration for architects in the design of senior apartments.Based on the general thought of putting forward the problem, analyzing problems, solve the problem, and application analysis, the passage is divided into six chapters.the First Chapter: Introduction: It not only makes a basic exposition of background, purpose, significance, related concepts, contents and framework of the research, but also discusses and summarizes the relevant theory and practice at home and abroad.the Second Chapter: The theoretical basis of the study on the living environment of the senior apartment include the design theory of barrier free environment in residential buildings of the elderly, related psychological theories of social psychology and environmental psychology, analysis of psychological and physiological characteristics of the elderly and the current situation of the relevant laws and regulations of the senior buildings. The theory mentioned above is the theoretical background of the research, and provides a theoretical basis for the establishment of evaluation index system.the Third Chapter: Study on the Current Situation of the Living Environment of the Senior Apartment in Taiyuan City: Based field research on Taiyuan City and the analysis of the questionnaire survey results of residents, the passage summarizes the current problems of the living environment of the senior departments in Taiyuan city.the Fourth Chapter: The establishment of the evaluation index system of the living environment of the senior apartment in Taiyuan City is the key content ofthis passage.
