Research On Low Temperature Air-source Heat Pump For Residential Heating Applications In Rural Area, Beijing

Survey data reveal that most of the rural residential houses burn coal for space heating in Beijing. The annual coal consumption for residential heating has reached 3.49 million ton ace, which is 92% of the total heating energy consumption, causing 26 thousand ton of PM2.5 emission. It?s urgent to find a clear appropriate alternative to coal-fired heating. Due to a variety of advantages such as 0 PM2.5 emission, high energy efficiency, stable operation performance and ease of installation, the household low temperature air-source heat pump could became the main alternative heating method in rural area of Beijing. However, the feasibility and applicability of this heating method remain discussion, on account of lacking demonstration households and experimental data.Based on the condition aforementioned, related studies were carried out and the main contents are as follows:1. 4 demonstration households using low temperature air-source heat pump for space heating were established in rural area of Beijing. And the operation effects during the heating season were measured with professional equipment.2. The experimental data were analyzed to evaluate the feasibility and applicability of this heating method. The household low temperature air-to-water heat pump was suitable for higher-income families, providing a stable temperature for the whole house. The household low temperature air-to-air heat pump was an environmentally friendly alternative to coal-fired heating, and should be promoted in Beijing rural areas.3. The low temperature air-to-air heat pump could increase the room temperature instantly, resulting in a ?part space, part time? using pattern, which contributed to a great potential for energy savings comparing with the traditional whole household heating pattern.
