The second fenghuang bridge in Guangzhou is a concrete deck-arch bridge of sunflower shape,which has a span of(40+4×56+40)m.It takes high-strength prestressed steel strand to resist the lopsided thrust produced by the different force situations.The bridge structure is arch frame system of sunflower shape,whose structure characteristics are novel and lightweight, has a high level of modeling feature and aesthetic value consequently.As a new arch structure.The second fenghuang bridge has a complicated mechanical behavior in construction stage,by bringing heavy and difficult structural construction.To ensure the construction projects are carried out in a safe,economic and successful way,it is required to determine the reasonable construction sequence on the basis of the objective conditions in the process of structural construction.Thereby,it is quite necessary to have an simulation analysis on the whole construction period so as to understand the mechanical behavior of structures during the construction phase,and to study on a series of issues related to structural construction process as well.Carrying out the simulation analysis by means of simulating the construction stage has been an important part to ensure the structure construction safety and deformation control.This paper aims to have a simulation analysis on the construction process under the engineering background of the second fenghuang bridge which is under construction. Combining the designed construction process,a finite model of second fenghuang bridge in scaffolding cast-in-situ method is built by using the analysis software MIDASC/CIVIL.By calculating the displacements and stresses of arch in every stage of construction througth this finite model,some useful theory dates can be obtained to make check and analysis to the scaffolding cast-in-situ method. Furthermore,a optimization analysis of construction processes of removing scaffolding and stretching tie-bar has been taken.This research can offer the reference for the construction and design of the same bridge.
