| Sustainable development of the city have become topic of common concern in the world. With the acceleration of the urbanization process in China, the urban climate issues become increasingly prominent. In the context of global warming, urban planners and decision-makers need to consider the changing of the climate factors in the overall strategy and the impact of sustainable urban development. More and more foreign cities are creating their own Urban Climate Map, which also gradually become a tool to guide the practice of urban planning. In this research, the author firstly explains the development and related concepts in the Urban Climate Maps, then analyzes the specific content and the method of the preparation of Urban Climate Maps in Stuttgart of Germany, Tokyo of Japan, and Hong Kong of China. Finally, the author summarizes the general method of Urban Climate Maps, and concludes with the framework of Urban Climate Map for the Master Planning of Shanghai as an example. |
