Along with the development of economy and the progress of science and technology, today the road traffic has been developed rapidly which causes higher requirements for services and technology, means and measures of operation and management of road management. Therefore, road managers are constantly exploring and searching for more effective management ideas, techniques and methods in order to improve the road operation management and infrastructure services. Both the domestic and foreign researches show that the road asset nanagement is the key point in current research all over the world.The highway which is the basic of the conprehensive transportation system plays an irreplaceable role in the development of the domestic economy. According to the 2013 statistic bulletin of the waterway transportation industry development annouced by the ministry of transport, by the end of 2013, the total mileage of the national highway is 4,3562 million kilometers. At the same time influenced by the rapid growth of traffic, heavy-duty vehicles and natural enviroment, the damage of the highway transportation infrastructure is a growing problem. Howerver the users have higher requirements for the safety and the comfortability of road, bridges and other transportation facilities.This paper gives a summary of the research on road asset management in some countries who have done better. From road operation and management reality in our country, this paper analyzes the road operation and management connotation, function management organization and function and also illustrates the road asset management content and the concept model of asset management system in our country. The study on Changpin district road aaset management platform is based on the analysis and discussion of the basic function of road asset management. The aim is to effectively help the asset managers with the data acquisition, asset management, maintenance decision-making and investment analysis by providing a modern collection, management and analysis tool which can be used to improve the road maintenance and management.. So that we can finally achieve the goal that gain the maximize return with the minimum input and prolong the road life and the services. |
