With the construction of smart grid has become the main direction of development of power grid, as an important part of smart grid, the intelligence of substation determines the degree of intelligence of power grid. It is an important symbol for intelligence and digital substation to realize the unattended substation. In order to achieve a safe and effective management of the subsation, it is very important to establish the system of localization and tracking for personnel and industrial equipments in substation. Based on the technology of the wireless sensor networks, the system of localization and tracing for substation is desighed in this paper. To meet the requirement of the fast localization of the substation localization system, a new algorithm based on information fusion and RSSI is proposed. A fuzzy loop is bulit in the algorithm according to the RSSI of the signal. And then the fuzzy membership function and information fusion method are used to locate the position of the personnel and equipments. This algorithm can achieve a high accuracy and be easily realized. To satisfy the need of high positioning accuracy and in view of the promlem of blind area in localization, another information fusion algorithm based on RSSI and AOA is proposed. On the basis of comprehensive of RSSI and AOA. and the combination of the fuzzy theory and the information fusion technology, the position accuracy and the algorithm coverage are both improved. In consideration of the requirement of real-time tracking to moving target. we proposed a moving target tracking algorithm based on the RSSI field distribution model. On the basis of the research in the theory of partical filter, the algorithm built a RSSI field distribution according to the actual environment situation in the substation. Simulation experiments show that the proposed algorithm can achieve real-time tracking of moving target and high accuracy.
