Since 1990s, the building has developed to a higher degree and new building requirements for the guidance, a large number of buildings appeared, and become landmark building in the country and region. However, the traditional building materials can not meet the needs of all kinds of complex high-rise building structure. Therefore, more and more scholars pay attention to the research and application of the concrete material in the whole steel. This paper mainly through the test and Finite Element Simulation to study the vertical bearing capacity of steel reinforced concrete column. Including:(1) The author has designed and produced five specimens, a reinforced concrete columns, three different thickness steel plate reinforced concrete columns, a steel tube concrete column. Through experiments to investigate the stress behavior of steel reinforced concrete column, vertical compression bearing capacity, etc. Using test parameter modeling, then compared the results of numerical simulation and experimental results, verifies the correctness of numerical modeling method and the conclusion.(2) Based on verified the correctness of the numerical modeling method, the authors use the theory data to build model. By changing the thickness of the steel plate, the author explored the influence of the different thickness of the steel plate for the bearing capacity of concrete columns.(3) Author used the stress-strain relationship to deduce the vertical bearing capacity formula. Then author compared with calculation results with results of numerical simulation to verify the correctness of the formula by finite element modeling.(4) Using the finite element to simulate the eccentric and the initial stress, author explored the influence of the initial stress and the eccentric for the bearing capacity of the specimen.(5) Using the test and finite element method, as well as the predecessors’ theory, author explored whether bearing capacity of concrete-filled steel tube column theory could be applied to steel reinforced columns.
