The 21 st century is the era of underground space development and utilization. There will be a large number of underground buildings and subway or other underground facilities Into the construction. Hydromill device is the world’s most advanced, efficient equipment of diaphragm wall construction. It has the advantage of high efficiency, the regular processed wall shape, high verticality, etc. It is the preferred construction equipment of complicated underground geological conditions. Hydromill device is a kind of advanced construction equipment that combined mechanical, electrical and hydraulic. It represents the highest level of diaphragm wall construction technology. However, the current domestic production is still blank, all the equipment used completely dependent on imports. The research on the Hydromill can enhance the development of foundation construction equipment industry and accelerate the development of foundation construction equipment rapidly. This article based on the project "Research & Design of the Hydromill", the joint development of Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science &Technology Co., and Northeast Petroleum University, the main object is to design and analysis the milling wheel.This paper include the overview, the mechanism of rock breaking, the research of milling head and milling wheel, the arranged and simulation of the milling cutter, analysis of the power drive of milling wheel, six parts totally. First, the paper describes the structure and composition of the hydromill device and diaphragm wall construction technology, investigate the foreign and domestic development and research status. Second, made a brief introduction of the rock basic properties, describes the mechanism of hydromill device cutting crushed rock and related basic theory. Thereafter, designed the diaphragm wall milling head and establish the appropriate model. Use ABAQUS simulation system to simulate the milling wheel crush rock analysis. Combined with analysis of dynamic simulation of the power drive, design the milling wheel power system. Finally, summarized the simulation results. It has contribute to lay a certain foundation for the hydromill device that has our own intellectual property in China.
