Prison in China is an organ specially enforcing the criminal law, which conducts a comprehensive reflection of the level of civil society and features of the time. With raid development of society, prison is not an organ with transformation, discipline and education, but with school, factory and hospital functions. Prison’s interior design is a special space different from other places, which has played a distinctive role in society and life.Currently, Chinese prison’s buildings interior design is relatively uniformin the form. We should understand this special prison indoor environment from a broader, scientific and rational perspective. It explores design principals in inner environment of prisons, and then define its relative design principals and regulations in order to adapt deeper requirements for design and construction of prisons’ inner design environment.The paper studies special functions of inner design of prisons, main elements of influencing its design and design principals. First of all, it explores its special functions; Then, by reading and surveys, the paper studies current problems exist in the design. And then it illustrates psychology demands, behaviors features and limited activities and so forth. Next, it concludes and analyzes its main elements; Finally, it studies main design principals of inner environment of prisons, leading people thinking about inner environment design of prisons.Because limited data of inner design of prisons, so that it can not meet the requirements of project study from the point of application. Then it refers to some other functional design examples, exploring similarities and design concepts. The paper studies inner design in psychology center, hospitals and other psychological problems.
