Recently, with the rapid development of China’s economy, the grid scale increases exponentially, power companies must invest a lot of manpower and material resources in the regular maintenance mode, and the time required for testing will far outweigh the planned outage time. There are contradictions between safety production and quality services, which results in a lot of difficult to implement the maintenance content, and affects the quality of maintenance, this repair process may produce an increase in new equipment hazards. There is a big security risk, because staffing of power companies is limited, and protection work is a highly technical work, which requires long period personnel training and high work pressure. In order to address the inherent deficiencies of the periodic inspection, this paper presents the application of relay protection remote verification technology.In the above context, this paper analyzes the shortcomings of traditional relay remote verification workflow and puts forward the design ideas and principles of remote calibration technology. This paper constructs the frame relay technology roadmap of remote check, introduces the way to obtain protection device’s running information, achieves the voltage and current loop integrity of the remote calibration, realizes remote operation circuit integrity check and other content key technology systems analysis. This paper describes the remote verification systems and remote monitoring software development. Finally, the remote calibration system protection structures are formed, and the effect of the implementation were evaluated.In conclusion, the research of this subject realizes the protection remote calibration technology, especially the one button remote loop calibration technology is used to remote verification of open circuit. Compared with traditional periodic inspection, it has a great advantage, which not only improves the stability of the relay protection device, reduces the workload of school, but also reduces the equipment of service time and frequency. Finally it improves the reliability of power supply and benchmarking level.
