Study On Urban Design Strategy Based On Regional Characteristics

Along with the society advance with the times,the arrival of information age and economic globalization,the lack of urban style become more and more serious.On the one hand, the popularity of the Internet which makes the global resource sharing possible enables us to get the theories of urban construction,the successful model and technological achievements conveniently.On the other hand, the rapid growth of the cities lead the traditional blocks suffered serious damage in the process of urban renewal,because the traditional blocks usually located in the city center whose commercial value is very high.At the same time,the city construction pursue bigger and larger blindly also give rise to the confusion of urban features and characteristics.With the problem of urban convergence is increasingly severe and people’s understanding of the economic value,cultural value and sentimental value of urban characteristics is being deepen constantly,the regional characteristics of the city also is getting more attention.First of all,the thesis set about researching the essence of the regional characteristics,clarify the meaning of the local characteristics and attributes of regional features and its influencing factors,after differentiate and analyze the basic concept of local characteristics clearly,then study on the connotation of urban design and its research level,establish the possibility to make use of the urban design technique to reflect the regional characteristics.Secondly,I have been through a lot of research about urban design cases and theoretical,combined with my own understanding and thinking on the urban design based on the regional characteristics,explore urban design can reflect the regional characteristic from the macro-level of figure-ground relation analysis, the line of sight analysis, color analysis, skylines analysis;the meso-level of the street space design and square space design;the micro-level of the architecture style design and Landscape sketch and public service facilities design.Finally, this thesis use the theoretical research result above to guide the new district’s urban design of Dali NanJian,expound how to use urban design means to reflect local characteristics.The thesis want to explore some urban design strategies which can reflectlocal characteristics,and make little contribution to shape characteristic style and features of new district of NanJian.
