Project Schedule And Control Of Large Bridge Steel Open Caisson Construction In RS Company

Bridge steel open caisson is a large part of bridge’s main support structure as the foundation of the bridge construction. How to realize the integrity for large and super large bridge steel caisson construction and installation not only reflects the advanced level of steel structure building, also represents the level of bridge construction. Shanghai railway Yangtze river bridge is one of the important transport hub. Its bridge steel open caisson will be the world’s largest, the highest bridge steel open caisson structure.In this paper, based on the theory of project management we make research about schedule management in the process of organizing, planning, control and so on for building of Shanghai railway Yangtze river bridge decks steel open caisson in RS company.This paper analyzes the background and significance of this study, analyses the feature of the project, and analyzes the project team organization structure built to meet the project construction by RS company, owner, and the general contractor.Based on the project organization structure and the characteristics of the project,I make project WBS, analyze the logical relationship between various project activities, and estimate the time of the project activity. After determination the critical path and schedule of the project, I further discuss how to optimize and adjustment activity logic relations in order to overcome the time limit.Then, in order to ensure the project schedule under control within the scope of implementation, this thesis analyses all adoptable project schedule control means and methods, further points out the project risks due to building company own problems and corresponding control methods.Finally I sum up the experience of the project schedule management, analyze the problems existing in the project implementation process, and by using the crush, increasing resources investment, adjusting the logical relations to build rational overlap joint, and so on to ultimately meet the requirements of project period.
