Whether the viscosity is in line with the requirement or not is an important standard in testing the physical properties and technical indicator of liquid. It has a great significance to test liquid viscosity in industry fields, subjects research and science development. Testing liquid viscosity plays an integral part in fields like petroleum chemical industry, metallurgy,medicine, food and so on. Product oil like gasoline, diesel oil and engine oil refined from fossil oil makes a difference on industry development. To test the its viscosity turns out to be the efficient operation in testing the quality of product oil in oil chemical industry field,accurate viscosity testing can improve the quality and production in this field. It can distinguish or check the complexity of some medicine in pharmaceutical industry. The accuracy has a great influence on enterprise profits. Above all, it has high practical significance to develop an accurate liquid viscosity meter.There are many methods can reach the goal of testing liquid viscosity, but method double cylinder rotation viscosity meter has been used widely for its short measurement period, high accuracy and wide measurement scope. This paper using TRIZ theory like Altshuller contradiction matrix, Physical field model, the invention principle part of the principle,invention of standard solution of the problem, nine screen method and the ultimate ideal solution, chooses normal double cylinder rotation viscosity meter as the research object, and then analyzes the testing theory of this system, improves the analysis, derives related formula,and finds out the testing joint. This system using single chip microcomputer AT89S52 sample drum resistance power consumption in different situations and uses A/D conversion and converts these data into viscosity based on the corresponding relation of power and torque.This paper installs a platform containing display part and executive part and finally designs an improved double cylinder rotation viscosity meter. Shortly, this system composed of temperature sample and control model, DC motor speed test and control model, automatic lifting control device, liquid viscosity computer model and LCD.Integrated data sample and automatic control and eased traditional viscosity meter in tedious operating process, this design has a complete system function with its high automation,reliability, simple operation and debug.
