In order to satisfy many kinds of control requirements in hydropower, computer monitor system is created. High-performance computers which are distributed in different part of hydropower control every equipment of hydropower. Every computer is linked by high-speed communication network. It can make sure data transfer between computers effectively. New developed hydropower computer monitor system combine software and hardware. Data communication is finished between each functional control unit. Therefore, besides hardware interface, computer monitor system of hydropower should has software interface, which makes some funtion control unit can be used in other funtion unit and high level computer monitor system, and external communication interface, which makes control system can be connected with outer computer or other manufactures'monitor system. Today's hydropower computer monitor system requires increase integration, decline equipment space (that is cabinets number ) and the number of outer connected cable, decrease installation cost, increase reliability of system and makes the control of monitor system become more directly and effectively. The high level of flexible requires computer's hardware should be modularized. Also intelligent module with CPU is designed. It is convenient to constitute every kinds of control unit to satisfy requirements of different control object and easy to maintain.Through summarize hydropower control system and analysis structure and function of water gates control system, in this paper, the method of small and medium hydropower gate's control system completing automatic monitor is researched and hardware and software in this system are designed. Through collecting operation signals, self-protection, man-computer interaction, communication, this system is able to monitor the state of hydropower gate and trashrack,and also it can guarantee to monitor the valve on and off effectively and credibly.As to the selection of CPU in computer, through analyzing the function of single-chip microcomputer and work characteristic of hydropower gate, single-chip microcomputer MCS—51 is selected, which is used widely and has mature technology. Single-chip microcomputer's structure is simple and the ability of anti-interference and data processing are strong. These characteristics make single-chip microcomputer play an important role in moist and much interference working environment of hydropower gate's control system.Basic structure of water gate control system is three-level-and-two-web structure. Controlling angle in working process, profibus is used, which is advanced in security, expandability and interoperability.Sensor is core component of water gate control system. In this paper, today's development of sensor is analyzed. On the basis of composition of sensor and operating characteristic, according to operating characteristic and some new sensors are used in water gate control system to improve security of the system. Water gate control system is required to realize the monitor to water gates and trashrack and gate's on and off. Its functions include data collection section, computation and adjustment section, control section and so on. In order to satisfy these functions, in this paper, hardware and software are designed.Finally, a analysis is shown the method of improving the anti-interference ability of sluice gate's control system .
