On the basis of the research of computer network technology and information technology, the Internet of things is gradually developed. As an important application of Internet technology, smart home has become a hot research topic. It has been 30 years from the first intelligent building in 1984, but the smart home has not been made great progress. Smart home is a huge system functions, it is not realistic to want to come to a science fiction movie scenes become a reality and popularity. For the moment, a more realistic approach is to choose a typical product to realize intelligent, and promote evolution of products not smart enough, finally systematic laying is done with seamless access of each product, and ultimately realizes the real smart home.In view of this kind of situation, this article launches the research and design of the smart IoT Sockets, put forward the designing scheme based on ZigBee wireless sensor network technology and GSM combination. Each household appliance accesses smart IoT Sockets, and through controlling power supply of the products to realize the intelligent management and control of products, so as to realize the overall smart home. This not only solves the communication of products have no unified standard interface protocol, but also the inconvenient and unsightly problem of home wiring. Users can also switch sockets at any time, so as to achieve energy-saving. As a result, products that are not intelligent can also achieve intelligent control.This paper introduces the basic theory of smart IoT socket, and various kinds of wireless network protocols are analyzed firstly; In determining the appropriate protocol of wireless data transmission in intelligent IoT socket, and further to determine the overall design scheme of the intelligent networking socket, including the main function design, chip selection and performance measurement through several topologies the comparison and selection of ZigBee network for intelligent socket, determines the two layers of the smart IoT socket hardware structure:the first layer is the control center, the second layer is the smart socket terminal; then completed key circuit chip selection and hardware circuit design of each module in the control center and intelligent socket terminal, and the Z-Stack protocol is transplanted and added hardware driver program of each module in the intelligent socket system, to design the Z-Stack protocol stack that is appropriated for smart IoT socket system; Finally, through the debugging on the software and hardware of intelligent socket, analyze test results, and carry out prototype experiments to verify whether the function design of smart socket is realized, and analyze the problems appeared in the process of experiment, gives the solution to solve the problem, finally realizes the intelligent Internet socket, ultimately the smart IoT socket is achieved.
