With the rapid development of the electric vehicle, People are proposed on the performance of electric vehicle drive system is higher and higher requirements. As the core part of the electric vehicle, Dynamic performance, safety performance and economic performance of drive system was related to the electric vehicle’s overall performance. Performance tests of driving system became important part of electric vehicle design. Foreign test system is expensive. So, develop a driving system test platform is of great significance.For pure electric cars, the design of the test platform of electric drive system was researched based on electric vehicle. A test system for dynamic simulation of electric vehicle was designed and built.Firstly, the structure of electric vehicle was analyzed. According to the national standard and the performance testing of the drive system, the functional requirements were analyzed. The overall structure of the dynamic simulation test system was designed. According to the motor parameters, the type of dynamometer motor was selected. Temperature curve features of consumption load PTC was analyzed, and the type of PTC was selected. The car dynamic model, four quadrant operation state of motor and increment type PID control algorithm was analyzed, and finally the test system control strategy was concluded.Secondly, load controller was designed in two aspects of hardware and software. The various modules of the hardware in detail and selection of components were instructed. Through introduction of the CAN bus, various modules and Program flow were analyzed.Thirdly, using of NI LabVIEW as the test system development environment was identified after comparing different software. Various modules were designed. With the help of Matlab data calculation advantage, PID controller was designed.Finally, through motor speed test, load test, temperature rise test and vehicle road test, the validity of the test system for dynamic simulation was demonstrated.
