Nowadays high-speed railway in our country is in a period of great development. High-speed railway is related to the development of industrialization and urbanization of the country, at the same time, it plays an important role in improving the people’s livelihood. High-speed railway has become an important business card of China’s diplomacy. As a key component of high speed train, the axle box bearings directly affect the running safety of trains, therefore, it’s important to design a set of perfect high-speed train bearings monitoring system that can collect bearings’ vibration signal, which plays an important role in ensuring safety of trains, and the development and image of China’s high-speed railway.The whole system consists of two parts, the slave computer and the host computer. The slave computer is responsible for receiving the host computer instruction, collecting vibration signals, bearings’ AD signal conversion and sending it to the host computer. The host computer works for sending instruction, receiving data, data processing and storage.Considering the factors such as cost, trains’ characteristic and so on, wireless sensor network had been chosen as the architecture of the slave computer, and finally ZigBee tech became the program for realization. In this paper, the hardware selection and circuit design of the slave computer are introduced and the slave computer’s program that based on Z-Stack is explained too. The slave computer based on ZigBee technology has the advantages of low power consumption, low cost and simple structure.The software of host computer was designed through LabVIEW. As the product of ’virtual instrument’, LabVIEW integrates the serial communication function which the system needs, so it is very suitable for the development platform of the host computer software. The final software of host computer not only can complete the functions of the set, but also has a friendly and convenient man-machine interface.The actual operating results showed that the system can achieve the set goals, to ensure the safety of high-speed train operation, and has strong application and reference value.
