With the development of the vacuum arcing chambers for decades, they gradually become the core component of the high voltage power switch by their energy conservation, reliable operation and environmental friendly characters. Accompanied by popularization and wide application of the high voltage electric power transmission and distribution control system, they will have more and more extensive market prospect. Based on an actual testing requirements of arcing chamber production company in Guiyang, this paper aims to design a whole set of automatic production line for the testing of vacuum arcing chambers. Lower the labor costs and enhance detection efficiency.Firstly, introduce the current domestic and overseas situation of Vacuum Interrupter production industry and the current domestic level of detection, expounding the necessities of applying the automatic production line to testing processes. Secondly, through the analysis of product technical parameters, the function test, field size requirements and production line motion, the general design scheme and production time beat is proposed. The scheme should include the conveyor line, handling robot and comprehensive testing station layout, design and control scheme. Third, through the detection of action and function analysis and based on the structure characteristics of products, structural design of each component is realized and specific calculation and checking for related driving parts are carried on. Testing the key components by the finite element analysis, and demonstrating the rationality of the scheme. At last, complete the assembly and optimization of the whole lines of arcing chamber.Lines of vacuum arcing chamber designed in my paper, compared with domestic similar equipment, has highly improve the productive efficiency, through shortening the time wasted in transshipment and testing process and improving the inspection form and way of handling. By means of the testing workshop, handling robot and conveyor line for structure optimization design, manufacturing costs and floor space of equipment are decreased, so that the requirements of field size is satisfied.
