This paper proposes an innovative concept of "re healthy" and introduces it into the research of elderly outdoor facility design, intending to provide guidance for the elderly aged 65 or above in designing and improving outdoor fitness facilities through ergonomics concepts and methods so as to offer new forms of fitness activities. The application of ergonomics in new facility design and development helps the elderly to participate in outdoor exercises more actively and effectively and explores the diversity of outdoor exercises for the elderly, with the ultimate goal to enhance their physical and mental health. This paper will provide references for academic research, design, development and innovation in outdoor fitness of the elderly. The paper firstly uses literature and case analysis to analyze and interpret elderly outdoor fitness and then, under the guidance of ergonomics and "re healthy" concept for the elderly, comes to a conclusion by combining sport behavior, sociology, and square dance which demonstrates their emotional appeal. Since the elderly aged 65 or above have different design principles and human-computer data requirements, it proposes the principle of "three actions" in the design of outdoor fitness facilities from their psychological needs, exercise habits and sports behaviors based on the research of elderly outdoor public entertaining facilities home and abroad. In the end, it puts forward the design of "pushing the ball with Tai Chi" with the concept of tree according to residential community environment. Through man-machine size analysis, facility design, new exercise regime design and research, environmental planning, electronic security technology introduction and emotional design, it will create a new fitness place so as to provide new fitness forms for the elderly, meet their behavioral and emotional needs, and improve their overall physical and mental health.
