| The Beibu gulf has not yet formed a strong urban agglomeration presently. All the cities are in the stage of absolute centralized development. The cooperation in industry, traffic, environment protection and resource utilization between the cities is weak. The most efficient way to meet the challenges, seize the opportunity, speed up the development to Beibu gulf is to improve the spatial optimization in urban system. This paper mainly studies the scale and levels, function system, transportation system, spatial structure and infrastructure of the northern Gulf of urban system, and through the analysis of these five aspects, the article mainly introduced "the law of primate city", the spacial gravity model and other modified methods for the optimization of research and analysis. In the research of "the law of primate city" section, a scientific and reasonable index system was formed based on the basic model to supplementary the analysis process. During the section in building a spatial gravity model of Beibu gulf, mass and distance are reconstructed and modified in the gravity model. The time-cut influence of high speed railway is also considered in modifying the spatial gravity model. Finally the spatial optimization strategies come out based on the analysis of the data. The results show:(1) the city scale development model in Beibu gulf urban system should be a point-axis radial configuration, which has three cores to cooperated and functioned; (2) the spatial optimization strategy is to build a "two-zone" pole, "two vertical and two horizontal" axis network and a strong platform town and some key point towns; (3) the traffic system should make progress on the connection between east and west, the integrality of the three main cores’ traffic system and building the "core-point" traffic system. |
