In recent years, with the increasing popularity of the Internet of things(IOT), the demand for wireless network nodes with sensing function are also increasing. As one of the key technology, RFID(Radio Frequency Identification, RFID) has been applied in many field for its non-contact, fast information processing features, such as logistics and security etc. The recent application of monitoring health medicine has become a hot research, and because of the great advances in low-power design in recent, monitoring of biological signs(temperature, blood pressure, heart rate) in real time becomes reality by combining RFID device integration to the sensing with signal processing capabilities. The apply to human motion tracking with wearable RFID sensor tags are studying by more and more people. Therefore, the combination of RFID technology and sensing technology have great research value and development prospects. This article aims to use discrete components to design a miniaturized wearable electronic tag which has function of awareness, to monitor body temperature and pulse. First, we introduce the background and significance of this design, and and analyze the necessity of combining RFID technology and sensor technology and their development trend; Secondly,we analyze the composition and principles of the RFID system, as well as the communication between reader and tag, and then we parse the ISO/IEC 18000-6C protocol, it focuses on the physical layer and protocol layer of the tag; Followed, the design method of each module in the design of the hardware circuit are introduced, including antennas, RF circuit, and digital baseband circuit, afer that, a energy management method is proposed to reduce power consumption. Then we carefully analyze the the processes and algorithms of label’s software development using mixed programming, including initialization, encoding and decoding, and the communication with peripherals and other processes. Finally, after the completion of the tag, protocol conformance test are carrying out, including testing inventory, reading and writing operations, as well as custom commands.
