Greenway is a multi-disciplinary product of landscape ecology, urban planning, traffic engineering and others subjects, it can contact various tourist attractions, industrial parks and urban communities in the cities, and can be used as a commuter traffic channel, with functions of slow traffic. The greenway provides a good outdoors activity space for residents, greatly improve the living environment, played a huge social benefit and economic benefit in the people’s production and life.As the number of cars increasingly, traffic jams intensifies in modern life, the convenient and comfortable transportation system become one of the most important standard of livable city, slow traffic represents the health of low-carbon lifestyle has been a trend, greenway as a green transportation mode that accumulated landscape, leisure and slow traffic on it. Because of this, it is favored in many countries in the world. All countries created a green way of research, and vigorously promote the greenway construction projects. But so far, the related research of greenway more biased towards the Conservation Biology, Landscape Ecology and Landscape Design, and other fields, but for the field of traffic engineering only a few studies. Greenway station and the greenway width design as an important part of the greenway, reasonable greenway station location directly about the greenway quality of service, and the reasonable greenway width not only can save land resource, also is an effective carrier of the greenway exert its utility. Greenway station is the main site that provide supplies, rest, transfer and so on functions to green rider in midway, the rationality of its position setting is the important factors for attract more visitors to use public transport into the greenway. This paper proposed the study of the greenway station location and width design to fill the blank of the related research.This paper by reading the domestic and foreign research about the greenway, on the basis of certain understanding for greenway definition, classification, composition and construction, summarize and analyze the factors that affecting the greenway width design and the greenway station site selection. Then through the network survey to get the importance of influence factors of greenway station selection and width design, different main body function of the greenway, the main cross-section is different and the factors affecting width values are different. Using the questionnaire survey results combined with field investigation, summary and analysis of the greenway traffic flow characteristics, and the passenger flow and bicycle flow requirement of road width. According to the different types of the greenway suitable form and ride required safety width, based on the main body function type, design the greenway cross-sectional, eventually, get all kinds of greenway width design. Next, according to questionnaire survey on the greenway station factors importance rating result use analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to analyzed the weight values of factors, are with the establish evaluation and decision model for the candidate post, and select the optimal candidate post to construct.At last, put forward the deficiency and perspective about the study, and use more scientific method to design the greenway traffic. I hope this paper can provided a few effective information and reference for design and optimization. The construction of urban greenway traffic implementation will allow people riding bicycle and walking roaming in the size of the city park, riverside, history, cultural attractions and scenic spots along the coast in the future life. And the urban comprehensive commuter greenway that connecting communities, public transportation sites, schools and so on, will also provide residents with comfortable and efficient bike commuter and transfer experience and increase the proportion of green transportation.
