In the production of modern industry, hoisting machinery plays an important role in the production and circulation of commodities. Therefore, Analyzing and optimizing the crane structure in design are important for improving the product quality and reducing the production cost. This paper applied corrugated plate structure to the crane girder, borrowing from corrugated plate structure widely used in bridge, construction, and studied the feasibility of it.First of all, This paper took 20 t-22.5 m bridge crane with mid-rail box girder as an example, and compared the static performance of box-girder with corrugated web and box-girder with ordinary web, using finite element software ANSYS. The results show that the box girder of bridge crane with corrugated web has better bearing capacity and the quality of the lighter, and verify the feasibility of the crane girders with corrugated web structure. At the same time, how the shape and size of corrugated web affects the static performance of bridge crane with corrugated web was also studied.Secondly, This paper applied corrugated plate structure to the bias-rail box girder of gantry crane, and put forward two kinds of gantry cranes with different box girder structure. One is called model 1, the other is called model 2. In model 1, both the main web and vice web of box girder are corrugated webs. In model 2, the main web is corrugated web and the vice web is ordinary web. Analyzing the static performance of model 1 and model 2, and the results show that the working performance of model 1 is better. Then the dynamic response of model 2 is studied with the function of ANSYS for modal analysis and transient analysis. Through the modal analysis, the first eight nature frequencies and nature mode shapes are gained. The results show that the lowest natural frequency of gantry crane in the vertical direction was 3.93 Hz, within the recommended value 2 Hz~4 Hz, satisfied with the dynamic stiffness of gantry crane which required by the standards. The transient analysis results show that the impact was generated when the goods was lifted off the ground which make the gantry crane vibrate up and down. Due to the effect of damping which will cause energy consumption, the amplitude of gantry crane will quickly decrease until balance. The system changed from transient response to steady state response.Finally, considering the local stability of web plate of box girder will affect the performance of gantry crane, the buckling analysis of the corrugated web of box girder was done. The analysis results show that the corrugated web has better stability than the ordinary one, and the ultimate bearing capacity of the corrugated web is significantly larger than the flat web. Then, the effect factors which affects the ultimate bearing capacity of corrugated web was studied. It turned out that the corrugated web with greater initial defects is poorer In the aspect of the ultimate bearing capacity; the corrugated web with greater wave height or shorter wavelength has larger ultimate bearing capacity; When the corrugation angle was 45 degrees, the ultimate bearing capacity of the corrugated web is better.In this paper, the application of corrugated web plate on the crane girder was studied, the results providing references for the research and development about new structures of crane. Its research content has a certain theoretical value and engineering significance.
