Research On The Theory And Practise Of Economical Garden Designing

With the rapid development of society, the problem of shortage of resources and the ecological environment becomes further worse, and the government tends to pay more attention to the conservation of resources, energy and the protection of environment. In response to the government policy, urban construction departments plan with the ideas and methods of building economical gardens, in line with the requirements of building an economized government, thus realizing the ultimate goal of sustainable development. The garden construction involves the procedures of planning and designing, building, operating and maintaining and so on, and among them the work of planning and designing plays an important role in the process of maximizing resources conservation. In the garden construction process in China, there exists the problem of one-sided saving design, which needs to be more systemic and comprehensive.This thesis discusses related theories of the economical garden; collects cases of economical landscape both abroad and at home; defines the concept of the economical garden; then proposes the thought of “three saving” “double control” and“ being integrated” to guide the design of the economical garden. By investigating parts of urban greening space like green buildings, linking with related theories, I analyzed and summarized the applicable methods and technical measures of saving land,resources and energy. In the last part of the thesis, I give a detailed analysis to the garden design case of the 10 th China(Wuhan) International Garden Expo, and to the design principles and methods of typical items like ecological rehabilitation project of Jinkou wasteyard, spongelike water area design, ecological material regaining stories,and Shanghai garden projects, the, to give people a more objective, practical and comprehensive understanding about economical garden. The conclusions and prospects parts of the thesis summarize the deficiencies of the research results, present my own views and suggestions, and make a prospect to the universal strategies for designing gardens.
