Urban road traffic marking plays an important fundamental role to ensure traffic safety, avoid or reduce traffic accidents. Currently, the data management of traffic marking has been stay in paper-based data management level, can not achieve the fine management of road traffic marking. Therefore, form traffic marking business management needs, It’s necessary to carry out the collection and database of road traffic marking data based on that, establishing urban road traffic marking Information Management System. To realize the scientific standardization and refinement of road traffic marking management, construction more economical efficient and safe road traffic marking management system, enhance road traffic management and service level. The main research contents of this paper are as follows:Before the urban road traffic marking Information Management System design. The first, studied the urban road surface markings’acquisition technique. According to traffic marking enormous species and quantities, and it’s located in the traffic pavement of data characteristics, this paper, proposed the verification which is based on automatic acquisition method of urban road traffic marking information of Mobile Mapping System for Land Vehicle. Through research and demonstration selection TopconIP-S2 vehicle systems to achieve urban road traffic marking space automatic collection of data, based on Digital Measurable Image technology, within the data of field gathered vectoring, and vectorization data correction, registration, standardization and beautification.Then, designing urban road traffic marking database. This paper applying SuperMap System managed urban road traffic marking spatial data, and convert the spatial data to SHAPE format; then, relational database SQL Server 2000 system to build traffic marking management attribute database, relational design traffic marking spatial data and management of attribute data by "key identification code", to complete the establishment of urban road traffic marking database. Lastly, enables the development of urban road traffic marking Information Management System. Selection of GIS function controls MapObjects and Visual Basic, built a traffic marking Information Management System initially, and the actual road data in Fuzhou as an example, used by the system to verify the function of the system to achieve. Provide reference and practical value for the future of the traffic management department of the actual construction and application of traffic marking Information Management System.
