Urban River Eco-landscape Reconstruction Study

With the global industrialization and urbanization after World War II, contradiction between people and land has been speeded up seriously. The worsen nature environment is compelling human realizing the importance of ecotope gradually, and human are stepping into a new introspection stage called the "eco-awaking", during which and with the urban construction, academic theory and ideological trend of design on ecological are forming rapidly. In 21 st century, China has became the second largest economic entity in the world,people’s living standards have been improved widely, during which numbers of ecological problems arising rapidly. With cognitive ability of China citizens improving as well as the eco-environment and sustainable development idea enjoys popular support, protecting and improving the ecological environment has became an issue of common interest with top-importance, they look forward to an effective solution. Therefore, how to solve the ecological problems of the urban environment; to improve the effective using of resources and develop economy and environment in the win-win situation; to improve the urban landscape as well as taking the ecological construction and renovation into account, has became an important research trends of urban environmental art design.The research object in the paper is the eco-renovation of rivers in urban area. As part of the urban spatial structure elements, river has been playing a very important role in the urban development process. During the urbanization construction of last eighties, most of rigid canalization of the river have been reconstructed and met the needs of flood-discharge function, however the comprehensive environmental benefit is not that obvious, functions and characteristics of sediment deposited over the urban ecological corridor undermined,and ecosystem has been severely damaged, the pollution problems have never been solved,and the river landscapes are monotonous and lack of cultural features.The research mainly has the macro system of environment design as its theory base,and has the landscape design as a technological path, has the innovation perspective on ecological and landscape interactive integrated transformation as a breakthrough. By extracting the theory of contemporary landscape design, summarizing the thoughts of eco-renovation and landscape design, forming the systematical method of operation to make river in city has ecological regulation function, as well as helps ecological system being stable, and multi-species coexistence well, which also lead to the urban ecologic has features of culture, has functions of recreation activities and science education.First part puts forward the question, introduces the background of the topic, study significance, study contents and study methods, technical routes, which make sure the typicality of the urban eco-envirronment construction around urban river, furthermore review the development of the domestic and foreign ecological theory. Based on the analysis of all the levels of China urbanization devolopment an trend, and knowing well about the situation of domestic and foreign urban spatial structures’ development forward to insight and analyze the micro level conception and current situation of the urban river.Second part is based on the relevant interpretation of the subject of urban river landscape-reconstruction to analyze the concept of eco-renovation and study scope; and it also analyzes the conception,category,function and current condition of urban river;further to present the content of urban river eco-landscape;thus in terms of extracting from the relevant theories forward to conclude, analyze the theory around landscape design and ecology,which systematically being collected to prop up the research subject.Third part is key to solve the questions,specifically based on analyzing and probing the domestic and foreign representative projects to conclude the advanced theory.Combining the supporting theory and the realistic questions of urban river and dissecting the existed questions from ecological and landscape design levels,there comes up with the comprehensive approach to the ecological level and landscape level questions of urban river.Eventually coupling of theory and practice, applying the theory of subject research method of technological and its achievements to Pan He landscape design in Sheqi county,combing the water quality, water quantity and riparian plant communities from ecological aspect, with the redesign from landscape aspect, resulting in project design, application and practice of ecological theory and technology of landscape transformation.There are three main achievements in the research:the first one is the confirmation of urban environment reforming, which including the comprehensive development of river ecological and landscape; the second one is the formation of systematical methods of eco-landscape transforming; last but not the least, along with the practical case study on Panhe landscape design in Sheqi county, carry out the eco-landscape renovation on coastal water and river bank, by which to optimize the theories as well as the technologies of landscape renovation.Hope the transformation theory and method in the research could have a flexible implementation, at the same time, hope it is enlightening for other cities eco-renovationand theory studies on both river and other spatial elements.
