| This paper starts with the summary of the content and significance of vernacular landscape and polder landscape. To prove the Uniqueness and regional effects of the polder landscape of Zhujiang Delta, the paper studied the distribution and history of polder-construction in China. Sangyuan polder, which is a representative area in the research of the vernacular landscape of the Zhujiang Delta, is located in the upper reaches of the Zhujiang Delta and has been constructed and reclaimed for thousands of years.The study mainly launches the elaboration through the following four parts:firstly,summary the history of the polder construction in the Zhujiang Delta. Secondly, delineate the specific scope of this study area and make research of the natural general situation and the history of the Sangyuan polder. The next, make classifications of the polderscape of this area and summary the system of the polderscape. Finally, generalize about the core features of the vernacular landscape of this area.At the end of this paper, the practical value and the significance of this study are elaborated. Hopefully this study will contribute to the landscape architecture plan and design for this area. |
