A Study Of Country Park Planning And Design

At present, the role of country parks in ecosystem and the regional landscape features are often ignored in the construction of country parks in China. What’s more, because of the lack of theoretical guidance and specific methods in system, the design theory of urban parks is usually used to guide the design of country parks, which leads to the similarity among parks. The study target of this paper is to explore the design methods of country parks, which is based on ecological protection, started from creating a regional characteristic landscape and supported by cutting-edge design theories and technologies.The paper introduce the general situation of country parks, distinguish the concepts among country parks and other kinds of parks and discuss its function that should be showed by design. Through reading literature and using the multi-disciplinary method, combining with cutting-edge researches such as the study of country parks at home and abroad, the rain flood storage based on LID and the application of GIS technology in the design of terrain, the paper discusses the principles of planning and design, the general layout and design codes of specialized design of country parks. In addition, the paper summarizes the strategies, space arrangement and design methods by analyzing five examples and put forward the design of Zhangzhou Tianbao country park.
