The way of electrical signal connection of traditional car are wire connection that can be applied, the increasing of car node and data information due to the increasing of car functions, lead to the increasing of wire number that used to realize the function, thus more and more difficult to wiring, the cost is higher and higher, environmental protection and sustainable development is becoming more and more difficult to achieve, more important is to interfere with the reliability of the cars communication. One of the outstanding advantages of CAN protocol is that the new communication data module can be coded in order to replace the common address code. It is precisely because of the existence of such advantages, easy to achieve the number of nodes on the network cannot be any constraint. The development of Energy saving and new energy vehicles is one of important effective measures of our country to reduce oil consumption and carbon dioxide emissions, the central and local governments are all pay high attention to its development.In this paper, I have introduced the CAN bus communication technology in detail firstly, analyzed the type and structure of Standard frame structure, extended frame structure and 4 kinds of frames in the process of Communication. Learned a lot of theoretical knowledge of Error detection, error calibration, response, arbitration, synchronization and communication protocol in the process of Communication. And then analyzed the function and demand of each sub node in new energy vehicle CAN communication system and mainly analyzed the demand of topological property, performance and application layer. And the corresponding analytical results are obtained.Based on the above study and analysis, Designed the topology structure of the CAN communication system of the whole vehicle. In order to meet the requirements of performance and application layer, designed the hardware and software design of CAN node. Hardware includes MCU selection and related control register configuration, for the software, mainly designed of battery management system module and function, According to the contemporary new energy vehicle standards, Design and layout of the battery management system module communication protocol and related signal extended frame format and data frame data segment. In the end, I have completed and debugged the CAN communication system. Through configuring register, reset and interrupt vector, set the baud rate, interrupt mode, standard definition, First complete the initialization of the CAN node, and then develop the receiving and sending end, finally achieved the final communication and display the communication data of MSCAN module.The result and effect of the experiment are consistent with the original purpose and the expected effect. Through the design, and the completion of the experiment and Implementation, can be a good example that the CAN bus technology has a successful application in the field of industrial control, as well as CAN bus protocol added basis in the field of practical application.
