M Series High-Power/High-Speed And Low Emission Engine Development

In the globally scope, the higher emissions regulations will be executed for high-speed marine diesel engine in recent years. Currently all the ship have be executed IMO2、94/25CE、CCNR2、EPA Tier3 emissions regulations. For marine diesel engine will be executed IMO3 and EAP4 higher emissions and other regulations, so upgrading emissions task is very imminent for marine diesel engine.In this thesis, M series, the displacement is 32 liters of high-power high-speed marine diesel engine as the research object, selected on the basis of currently mechanical diesel engine and for engine cooling system, lubrication system, intake and exhaust system to optimize and design. using of advanced technology of electronically controlled high pressure fuel, boost technology to achieve the objectives of this thesis. Taking EPA3 emission regulations for diesel engine test object, we introduced the diesel engine design development, performance and emissions development, NVH development and mechanical development, etc.Final results showed that the development, according to the working characteristics of marine diesel engine, in the current, based on the M-series mechanical diesel engines to develop and meet the EPA3 emission regulation, the emissions and economy are feasible, by using current diesel engine electronic control technology, and it will be upgrade further promotion and application in the future of marine diesel emissions.
