The ship is a huge energy consumption means of transport. With the rising of the oil price, the International Maritime Organization limits the release of the pollution emission regulation, effectively reduces the energy consumption of the ship, and reduces the pollution discharge becomes an urgent task. Marine diesel engine exhaust has a lot of heat recovery, if to be able to take advantage of this part of the heat for power generation or for the provision of steam heating, for ships normal navigation delivers power to a load and heat demand to in the certain extent reduce the ship fuel consumption, enhance the efficiency of the ship energy-saving, saving a lot of operation cost.In this paper,the exhaust gas waste heat recovery system of marine diesel engine,which is mainly composed of power turbine, exhaust gas waste heat boiler, steam turbine generator, external preheater and condenser is designed in this paper. On the basis of the tanker 48000DWT as an example, the longitudinal comparative analysis with a ship under different conditions using the exhaust waste heat utilization system of energy saving effect,according to the results of thermodynamic calculation and analysis system node parameters,waste heat power generation and system performance parameter changes with the host power. Then to tanker 48000DWT, for 82000DWT bulk carrier, for a 4250 TEU Container Ship for example, horizontal contrast different ship types in under the same conditions,using the exhaust heat recovery system for a power turbine, steam turbine generator of energy-saving effect, because of the influence of different types leads to ship thermal performance parameters of the differences on the set of diesel engine exhaust heat recovery system for energy-saving emission reduction performanceAnalysis results show that with reduction of engine power, waste heat recovery system of waste heat recovery of total, waste heat power generation, system of the fuel consumption and saving rate showed a decreased first and then increased with the decrease of engine power, 40% condition and then decrease trend; 100% condition, for a 4250 TEU container ship waste heat recovery system of the total 7714kW, generating power up to 1833kW, completely can meet the normal navigation of the ship electricity demand, then save the amount of fuel for 367.7kg/h, system saving rate can reach 3.56%. Comparison of three types of ship power turbine, steam turbine generator energy-saving effect. It is found that the oil tanker, bulk carrier thermodynamic parameters, steam turbine power generation,fuel consumption than almost the same, but the bulk carrier power ratio is far higher than that of oil tankers. Container ship because of its exhaust gas temperature, flow rate is high,the steam turbine generator and the energy-saving effect is remarkable. Three types of ships only for a 4250 TEU Container Ship with a wastegate, but less flow of waste gas, power turbine energy saving effect is not obvious, should according to the ship exhaust gas bypass flow number value of power turbine enabling conditions for quadratic constraint...
