High-speed rail has developed very fast in recent decades and there is no doubt that the high speed rail greatly affect people’s life and social economy. The author of this paper researches on auxiliary frock of big workpiece being welded in the process of High-speed rail being welded and proposes solution scheme. We use the bogie, an important component of the high-speed train, as example. The bogie needs be turned 180 degrees dozens of times in the process of its being welded, and many high-speed train manufacturers at home and abroad haven’t had a good solution to this problem. Most of them reverse the bogie slowly by using crown block, which greatly affect the efficiency for the factory and goes against the trend of the current factory being automated and intelligent. Because of the urgent need, this paper designs a kind of automated turnover machine which can reverse the bogie, expecting to make contribution to solving this problem. The main research content of this paper include:This paper expounds the current main way to reverse the bogie and its defects, as well as development present situation of related turnover machine at home and abroad, summarizes their feature and shortage. And analyzes requirements of an ideal turnover machine for the bogie, and also analyzes the key problems and technical difficulties of designing this relatively ideal bogie turnover device. On the basis of these, this paper, in consideration of the shape characteristics of the bogie, this paper proposes a bogie turnover machine design which can meet the functional requirements listed, and we explain the designs of each part of this turnover machine and its working principle detailedly.According to the design scheme, the workpiece parameters and the demanded performance index, we design the parameters of the important main parts theoretically, conduct force analysis and finite element analysis of the key parts, optimize the shape of some parts and verify the optimized parts again. through kinematics analysis and mechanical analysis for the energy-storage and buffer device, minor improvements are made on the original design scheme.We use ADAMS software to do simulation of kinematics and Regid-flexible coupling system about virtual prototype of the designed machine, which verify the accuracy of mechanism design and the accuracy of its trajectory. We measure and analyse some key mechanical parameters such as turnover torque, screw acting force and deformation parameters of turnover frame. We use ANSYS Workbench to conduct collective static analysis of the bogie turnover machine at some key position in the process of being turned, finding out the weak element. We also conduct modal analysis of the whole model and some key parts, obtaining the corresponding natural frequencies and modes of vibration, on the basis of which we put forward some improvement opinions.
