With the continuous development of urbanization, the sites is suitable for the engineering construction is decreasing. In southwest China, Yunnan province government put forward a policy that advised the engineering construction will transfer to mountain and countryside. In the process of engineering construction, it is need to fill valleys, and thus so many high fill slope is formed. At present, many domestic and foreign scholars did a lot of research on characteristics of high fill foundation in airport and high fill subgrade embankment.This article is mainly supported by the project of slope engineering in the Zhenxiong county, Yunnan province. At first, I finished a lot group of model tests, which is study for the relationship between upper load and settlement, pressure, lateral displacement. Secondly, through the analysis of the actual monitoring data, the characteristics of settlement of filled ground is analyzed. Finally, by using method of the finite element, the safety factor of typical profile was calculated. The main work summarized as follows.1.The physical model test is designed by dimension analysis, by which the similarity ratio between the prototype and the model is determined. Through the monitoring of settlement and soil pressure in four groups of model test, the relationship between the upper load and the soil pressure or instantaneous settlement was found.2.Analysis of actual monitoring data.1)Determination of physical and mechanical parameters of the packing; 2)To explore the factors that caused the change of settlement and the subsidability regulation of subgrade by total station monitoring.3.Analysis of settlement rule based on the finite element method. The settlement of each construction stage is calculated by PLAXIS. In order to explore the slope stability, the tensile strength of geogrid within soil is changed to three kinds of working condition.4.A settlement control is presented in this paper.
