Feeder system is a very important part in the automatic machinery, and it determines automation level of automatic machinery and direct influences on the cost and the reliability of the automatic product system.Taking electromagnetic vibratory bowl feeder as the researching object, electromagnetic vibratory feeder is a kind of automatic feeding device. In view of its adjust structure and excellent orientation ability together with high efficiency of feeding and general usage, it is widely used in a large range of automation production fields, such as machinery manufacturing, electronic, medicine and food. As electromagnetic vibratory feeder’s structure parameters, orienting mechanism and control system are determined and affected by the diverse materials’characters, surface features, shapes and feeding demands, the matching of multi-performance and multi-factors is still research focus of the vibration feeding technology.On the base of the study of electromagnetic vibration feeding technology at home and abroad, this paper analyzed the working principle of electromagnetic vibratory feeding system and established the mathematic models of kinematics and dynamics, and analyzed the relationship between natural frequency and vibratory frequency by the amplitude-frequency curves of tossing, determined the best working state of the system, optimized the system parameters with the conveying efficiency as objective function. For the elastic element, this paper established stiffness model of the multi-layer leaf spring, analyzed the stiffness and structure parameters and made optimization design for structure parameters. In addition, this paper analyzed and compared two kinds of vibration isolation device, used MATLAB software to simulate the transfer rate of simulation, and determined the way of the passive vibration isolation. This paper also introduced the common rubber damping elements. This paper expounded research status of the directional attitude theory at home and abroad, introduced some common orientation methods and orientation devices. The calculation method of the natural posture probability was studied, and this paper designed and analyzed the orientation mechanism of the feeder system’s vibration plate for SOT123 components according to the orientation theory. The paper analyzed the electromagnetic part simply, chose the type of the core and armature, calculated electromagnetic vibration force and electromagnetic parameters. This paper also introduced the silicon controlled rectifier circuit and its working principle, designed the control circuit, and realized the control to the electromagnetic vibration feeder by adjusting frequency and amplitude.
