The separation performances of the separation electric connector like:separation force and separation time are important parameters to evaluate its quality and reliability. However, manual test is the most common method in domestic at present, the stability and efficiency are difficult to be guaranteed. It is necessary to develop an advanced special test equipment. DFQ (Design for Quality) is helpful to the project’s research and development; and it can help the designers understand the customer’s needs accurately, reduce costs and improve product’s competitiveness.Therefore, this paper aims to meet the engineering demand of enterprises, is guided by the concept of DFQ, and relates to research and development of integrated test system for separation performance of separation electric connector. It mainly includes:1) Describe the background and significance of the present project; and introduce development of test system, test technologies, design methodology and DFQ.2) Put forward the specific steps of the present project, complete the overall plan, comprising:demand analysis, general structure design, module decomposition and schedule arrangement.3) Realize module design and choose the best structure for related modules, draw components deployment matrix and finish the failure mode and effects analysis.4) Conduct detailed design comprising:the data processing and image processing methods introduction, the parameters of moving components calculation, and the detailed control system design.5) Present the final equipment, verify its functions and stability, and summarize the electric connector’s separation performances under different separation conditions.
