The most basic insulation gas is SF6 in GIS, but SF6 is a kind of greenhouse effect gas, a great impact on the environment,looking for SF6 alternative gas is an inevitable trend, this paper discusses the global SF6 alternative gas research results. The author also discusses the idea of a new T168 series GIS products, how to make its minimal impact on the environment. Taking T168 GIS as an example, the various aspects of the security of the ecological design of the design are discussed. In consideration of the relevant safety and ecological design, such as miniaturization, saving material and process technology, etc., are showing that it is to improve the ecological solution.
