For 40 years, gas insulated switchgear GIS have been highly reliable, and is widely used in medium and high voltage ranges, its operation reliability and compact dimensions of the reason may be the first choice of the most attractive place. Based on the last 40 years of manufacturing experience and practice in the last 20 years, the industry developed, have the ability to start thinking in new product ecological constraints combine to put safety into account, the purpose of such security ECO Design approach is that the premise of ensuring product safety so that from the extraction of raw materials to the end of its use, in reducing the impact on the environment aspect, while in line with consumer demand developed products.The author introduces the development history of GIS and the latest products in domestic and overseas in recent years, and summarizes the latest development trend of GIS. The most basic insulation gas is SF6 in GIS, but SF6 is a kind of greenhouse effect gas, a great impact on the environment,looking for SF6 alternative gas is an inevitable trend, this paper discusses the global SF6 alternative gas research results. The author also discusses the idea of a new T168 series GIS products, how to make its minimal impact on the environment. Taking T168 GIS as an example, the various aspects of the security of the ecological design of the design are discussed. In consideration of the relevant safety and ecological design, such as miniaturization, saving material and process technology, etc., are showing that it is to improve the ecological solution. High voltage electrical GIS is the key equipment in power system, but also the weak point in the seismic performance. This paper analyzes the seismic performance of power system. This paper analyzes the seismic performance of GIS 550 KV T168 high voltage electrical equipment, and how to optimize the GIS equipment and support design, ensure the safety of GIS.Modern GIS on various operational reliability of electrical safety, our design must be updated to adapt to our customer requirements, not only to pursuit for high technical and economic showings and more importantly, the reliability of long-time operation of the reliability and safety of environmental protection as the highest goal of the pursuit of the designer.
