With the rapid development of our country’s economy, construction industry has been rapid development.Thermal power plant construction project has a lot of risk factors such as high investment costs, long construction period and complex techniques. Therefore, if the decision-makers are not able to make overall arrangement, not only the project’s period, quality and cost may not reach the agreed goals, but it can even cause personal injuries and bad impact on the ecological environment. In order to control the risk management of power plant project, it is important for the managers to possess professional knowledge to identify, evaluate and solve the risk factors.Take the example of Dongcheng thermal power plant construction project, this paper applies relevant theories to analyse the risk management of the whole lifecycle in detail.First of all, this paper states the research background, significance and major research at home and abroad. And research content, methods and questions are also introduced.Secondly, this paper illustrates the theoretical basis including classification of project risk, the development of risk control and basic procedures. Based on the characteristics of Dongcheng thermal power plant, the author identifies all kinds of risk factors and contents in order to create its risk evaluation index system. Meanwhile, the analytic hierarchy process (ahp) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are both adopted to evaluate the effect of these factors on this project. Then the following measures are put forward to control risks. Finally, the research comes to a conclusion and looks forward the further development.Along with the analytic hierarchy process(ahp) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, design departments, construction nits and professional manufacturers are also invited to grade for comprehensive and accurate research, which provides important references for managers.
