With the development of economics in China, GPS technology is deeply applied to rapid construction of rail transit, in which it has played a more important role. Because the quality of GPS control network and precise traverse network is very important in the rapid construction of rail transit,this paper will focus on the method of GPS control network and precise traverse control applied on the rail transit, in order to optimize the overall workflow of project and improve the quality of project,which can be used the experience of other similar projects for reference.The paper describes the overall workflow of control network applied in the rail transit field,including selection of GPS points, distribution of control network, data input, data output, conversion of data formats, error adjustment, TBC baseline processing, GPS data analysis and so on. In addition,the paper introduces how to apply the survey robot(Leica TCA2003 0.5”) in the precise traverse survey, how to process the original data before adjusting, how to adjust the precise traverse network,and how to analyze the results of control network etc.In general, when we process GPS control network and precise traverse network, we firstly need to preprocess the original data to improve the data quality, such as in the preprocess of baseline of GPS network, the adjustment of the whole control network, and the process of independent baseline and so on.
