A diaphragm pump was a new advanced transportation technology and equipment which was developed at the end of seventy’s in twentieth century. It is based on the reciprocating piston pump and it realizes isolation to the transmission medium and the piston by adding the diaphragm chamber. It has become the ideal replacement products of traditional piston pumps, centrifugal pumps, oil pumps and slurry pumps. At present, only a few countries can make production. In our country, diaphragm pumps started late. There is a certain gap existing on key technologies between our country and world-renowned enterprises. Therefore, it is particularly important to improve the design of diaphragm pumps. This paper takes "the replacement of diaphragm pump crankshaft bearing" as the main research content, and take "diaphragm force terminal size reduction "as the desired effect to conduct a comprehensive analysis on the diaphragm pumps.The working principle and structure characteristics of the diaphragm pump is analyzed firstly in this paper. Through the analysis of the diaphragm pump power end, establishing the slider-crank mechanism mathematical model. MATLAB software is used to do the simulation analysis; Creo2.0 software is used to create the three-dimensional model of the diaphragm pump power end and the mechanical system dynamics simulation software Adams is used to build the virtual prototype and do the simulation analysis to determine the diaphragm pump power on the kinematics and dynamics parameters. By compared with the MATLAB simulation results, determine the load of each component in the situation of the institutions and provide the load basis for designing the sliding bearing.Using ANSYS Workbench software to do the finite element statics analysis and model analysis under the condition of crankshaft rolling bearing and determine the crankshaft’s stress and strain regularity and each order natural frequency, and also do the finite element statics analysis of the connecting rod under the condition of crankshaft rolling; To design the sliding bearing, and verify the calculation criterion’s satisfaction of the materials in the liquid friction; Build the finite element analysis model of crankshaft-connection rod-sliding-bearing to do the contact analysis; Finally redesign the connection rod and do the static analysis.The paper’s study shows that:under the condition of the existing crank dimensions,25t diaphragm pump crank-connecting rod big end can meet the bearing capacity requirements to realize the substitution from rolling bearing to sliding bearings. This research is to provide a theoretical reference of improving the design of small and medium diaphragm pump power end.
