With the rapid development of science and technology and the national economy, the demand for high-quality electric power in industrial production is growing. Power quality of the instability plays an important role in our modern industry and social life. Therefore, if we use it unproperly,it may cause some serious accidents. Researching and designing the power quality detection for high-performance monitoring and analysising of power quality has a very important significance based the status of the growing problem of power quality and electrical equipment for power quality requirements.First of all, the author of this paper introduces the development process of power quality and the talks about the research to the reason of paying attention to power quality. After this,this paper discusses the standardization of the definition, classification, range and term for power quality. There are some prime indexes of power quality: voltage deviation, frequency deviation, harmonic content, unbalanced three-phase voltage and current and so on. This paper presented the concept of these indexes, the criterion made by our country and introduced the correlative algorithms briefly.Secondly, this paper develops this electric parameter comprehensive monitoring system that is based on MSP430F149. This paper describes the system design and operating principle, and describes the system frame态hardware and software design exhaustively. The design of hardware focuses on the data collection, in order to ensure the measured current and voltage to reach the range of collection system, a signal conditioning circuit is applied to modify it, which is constituted by mutual inductor and OPAMP; the software is mainly applied for the work of system initialized configuration, the programming of A/D transfer, the programming of FFT, data analysis and data transmission. The data acquisition module is designed to collect the three-phase electrical signal and it can provide reliable and valid data for the further analysis of power quality. The system may perform real-time measuring of frequency, effective value of voltage and current, power, from the third to fifteenth harmonic wave and time-sharing electric energy, etc. It may also realize function of communicating.At the end of this paper, the author tried his best to study the debugging and functional analysis of the power quality detection system are carried out successfully. This result could be regarded as a provement that our system has the ability to realize the electric power quality data collection, the data transmission and data analysis. The result of test and the analysis of error indelicate that the software and hardware operated correctly, which can achieve the desired task.
