With the development of the industry automatic control technology,the demand of compressed air in industrial field are growing, known as the fourth largest energy. Coal-fired power plants need to configure a certain number of machine air compressor(hereinafter referred to as the "air compressor"), the compressed air is mainly used for conveying, pneumatic components, the control of boiler, blowing, etc. Imported air compressor is equipped with high temperature protection device.When summer coming,the working environment temperature in air compressor workshop will rise sharply.Imported air compressor will self-protect and downtime, affecting the normal production of power plant. Because the initial investment and operation cost of the traditional mechanical refrigeration ventilation cooling system is high,so it is not the first selection. Evaporative cooling is a kind of economy, environmental protection, high efficient ventilation cooling mode, it can be used for ventilation cooling in air compressor workshop. Therefore, the research of evaporative cooling equipment improve the working environment in air compressor workshop is very important practical significance.This paper, detailed understanding of air compressor, the layout and operation of air compressor, heat source distribution, personnel, and so on. To understand the effect of existing ventilation cooling system, to select 8 points on plane from the ground 2 meters.In different date,temperature and humidity data were tested. At the same time, the supply air temperature, humidity and wind speed, the outside air temperature and humidity data were tested.Secondly, this paper takes the whole air compressor machine room as the research object, with the CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics),which is rapidly development in recent years, simulation temperature field, flow field inside in air compressor workshop,and analysis the measured data and the simulation data.The comparison results show that the established numerical model is authentic.Finally, through the theoretical and simulation analysis of the defects in the existing ventilation cooling system, this paper put forward the corresponding improvement measures and optimized scheme. Using the established numerical model study of optimized scheme.The research methods and conclusions provide some reference and basis for improving the working environment in air compressor workshop, ventilation cooling system design of large space industrial workshop, the application of evaporative cooling equipment and the application of CFD in HVAC field. There are 52 figures, 18 tables, 54 equipment and the application of CFD in HVAC field.
